Adult General ENT
Alongside his specialist practice in laryngology, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and head and neck surgery, Mr Bidaye assesses and treats a broad range of general ENT conditions in adults.
Investigations and treatment are tailored to the individual patient, with audiology, radiology, sleep and other specialist services arranged where clinically appropriate.

Initial assessment
Mr Bidaye may provide initial assessment for selected complex airway or tracheostomy-related problems. Where reconstruction, tracheal surgery or decannulation is required, he will refer you to an appropriate private colleague, or advise you to contact your GP for an NHS referral.
Evidence-based, outcomes-focused care
With appropriate consent, endoscopic photography may be used to document findings before and after selected treatments.
Where relevant, validated patient-reported outcome measures may also be used to track symptoms and how they change over time, including:
- Nasal Obstruction Symptom Evaluation (NOSE) score
- 22-item Sino-Nasal Outcome Test (SNOT-22)
- 7-item Eustachian Tube Dysfunction Questionnaire (ETDQ-7)
- 10-item Voice Handicap Index (VHI-10)
- Reflux Symptom Index (RSI)
- Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS)
These, and other relevant measures, are used only where relevant to your condition.
They track symptom burden and change over time; the Reflux Symptom Index does not on its own diagnose laryngopharyngeal reflux, and the Epworth Sleepiness Scale does not on its own diagnose obstructive sleep apnoea.
A note on scope: Mr Bidaye's specialist areas are the voice and larynx, thyroid and parathyroid, swallowing, and head and neck.
He treats the conditions above alongside those, and if yours would be better handled by a different subspecialist, he will tell you and arrange the referral rather than take it on.

Appointments are with Mr Bidaye himself and run a full half hour, so there is time to examine, explain, and answer what brought you in. Private appointments can be booked online; our secretary can also advise on insurance and fees.
